Global Strategic Marketing Manager


Reporting to the CEO, responsibilities include overseeing the market assessment of existing, adjacent and new market opportunities, channel development, and business development activities. Responsible for developing strategic plans as well as detailed marketing plans for the company in all of its offices;  UK, USA, Germany, Japan, and China.

Primary Responsibilities:

Creates, manages, coordinates, and executes all company marketing strategies consistent with corporate objectives

 Performs detailed market analysis including industry structure, segment size, growth opportunities, competitive landscape, profitability assessments, and product/company positioning

Develops strategies and detailed plans which capitalize on prioritized market opportunities

Manage a team of two product manager, marketing coordinator, and technical writer in both the UK and USA

Develops and manages the program activities, budgets and business justification

Leads the development of new business opportunities

Develop market and customer insights through Voice of Customer and/or Voice of Market activities

Works closely with sales and subsidiaries to implement business development activities consistent with growth objectives of the company

Perform detailed competitive analyses in order to determine existing and future threats/opportunities

Represents the company at various industry and/or business meetings to promote the company

Participates in the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing materials, exhibits, and promotion programs that must be technically, culturally and linguistically appropriate for the markets targeted

Promotes positive relations with vendors and distributors.

Establishes and implements short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

Prepare combined monthly Sales and Marketing reports for organization

Responsibility for  trade shows and conferences worldwide

Creation of ‘thought leadership’ content, including white papers, blogs, articles, etc relating to our products and services, but also specific related market trends. These items will be used to articulate our strategy to customers, and generate increased exposure through social media, direct marketing, etc.

Work with sales team members to understand market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities; adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions

Build and agree upon the roadmap for marketing activities around the globe to execute the marketing portion of relevant product and services launches

The Strategic Marketing Manager will work directly with the sales managers to develop sales strategies and implementations.

Partner with sales and other stakeholders for creation of sales tools, literature, and presentations for use with customers, and other material to enable our global direct sales team

Provide product management leadership and partner with other departments to identify and execute on evolutionary or revolutionary product or solution opportunities.

Will perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, 3+ years in a senior level marketing position

Experience in strategic planning, marketing planning and product marketing

The ability to develop and articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals

The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes

Strong business acumen and an in-depth understanding of the marketing and financial implications of new business opportunities

Experience with the implementation of growth, new business development and marketing initiatives that lead to greater market penetration (prefer direct experience in at least two of the following market segments: Industrial, Life & Health Science, Microelectronics)

Domestic and International travel 25%

Requires professional presentation, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

Strong project management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be a self-starter and have a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle many different projects simultaneously

Curious, collaborative, creative, detail-oriented, and persistent

Native English fluency required;
